2022 RALLY ON THE RANGE

FALL DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED!

THINK YOU BELONG ON THE RANCH?  WELL, DUST OFF THE HAT, PUT ON YOUR BOOTS AND LET YOUR INNER COWBOY OR COWGIRL SHINE.  

 And, Don't worry about bitin' off more'n you can chew; your mouth is probably

a whole lot bigger'n you think.

 

Each team will be made up with up to 5 individuals.  We encourage teams to sign up together.  Don’t have a team? No problem, just enlist as a single and we will put individuals together to make teams.

 

TEST YOUR TEAM'S SKILL IN

 

WATER TRANSFER

Using a 5-gallon pail, transfer water from one trough to another while dodging varmints along the way.  Timed endurance trial with points for most water moved. One team member.

 

SACK RACE

Relay game of 2 team members.  Timed event.

 

WHEELBARROW RACE

One in the wheelbarrow, one pushing the wheelbarrow. Time tested event. 2 team members compete

 

ROLL THE BALE

All team members compete, one as a spotter and 4 allowed to roll.  Roll a large round bale within the path to feed the cattle. Points deducted for going off course.

 

EGG AND SPOON OBSTACLE COURSE

This event brings you back to childhood… with a twist.  Relay the egg and spoon between all 5 team members. Each team member will have a different “crutch” to keep the game more interesting.

 

AX THROWING

Any or all team members may compete.  Five throws per team.  Points combined to final count.

 

ROPING THE STEER

Reach deep down to your inner cowboy.  Hop on the saddle, grab your lasso and rope that steer! Any or all team members may compete.  Five attempts per team.

 

TUG OF WAR

This should not need any explanation.  1 point for each win.  3 events per team.  All team members compete in each of the 3 Tug of War events.

 

 

This event will run rain or shine – because a cowhand’s work is in all weather.

PRIZE FOR THE FIRST PLACE TEAM IS 50% OF ENTRY FEES!

ALL COMPETITORS WILL RECEIVE TEAM BANDANAS.

We encourage spectators to cheer on the teams.  Coolers and thermoses are allowed.  Restroom available for competitors and attendees.  Feel free to bring chairs, blankets, umbrellas.  Please wear appropriate footgear!
